Imagine Cup (www.imaginecup.com ) adalah kompetisi mahasiswa berbasis teknologi
terbesar di Dunia saat ini yang di sponsori oleh Microsoft. 3-8 July 2008
Imagine Cup Final akan diselenggarakan di Paris, Perancis. Kesempatan emas
untuk teman-teman mahasiswa di Milis IT Center untuk berkompetisi di Imagine
Cup dan mengharumkan nama bangsa di kompetisi internasional.
Ada 9 kategori yang diselenggarakan di Imagine Cup, antara lain :
- Software Design (Seleksi tingkat nasional di Jakarta 1 Mei 2008)
- Embedded Development (Online)
- Game Development (Online)
- Project Hoshimi (Online)
- IT Challenge (Online)
- Algortihm (Online)
- Photography (Online)
- Short Film (Online)
- Interface Design (Online)
Peserta merupakan Mahasiswa (D1,D2,D3,S1,S2,S3) dari berbagai kampus di seluruh
Indonesia..
Khusus untuk peminatan elektronika, teman-teman di milis ini bisa berkompetisi
di Embedded Development

Ronde 1 Kategori Embedded Development akan berakhir 1 Februari 2008.
Ronde 1 : Deliverable untuk Ronde 1 ini cukup mudah, yaitu hanya berupa
Proposal.
Ronde 2: Akan dipilih 200 Proposal yang memenuhi syarat untuk melaju ke Ronde
2, dan 200 Tim tersebut selanjutnya akan dikirimi Embedded PC Ebox 2300
(www.embeddedpc.net ) dan Windows Embedded gratis.
TOP 15 Team akan berangkat ke paris hasil seleksi Ronde 2 (Akomodasi dan Tiket
Team ke paris dibiayai oleh Microsoft)
Berikut Guideline untuk Ronde 1 Embedded Development Imagine Cup :

Round 1 Report Guidelines:
The first report is your project proposal. It defines the problem you intend
to address and how you intend to address it. Your goal is to present the
judges with a compelling idea that is presented clearly and succinctly.
The report should be in the Microsoft Word format, contain no more than 2500
words and be a maximum of four pages in length. Reports that are substantially
longer will not be read. Reports must be submitted in English. The team
should try and avoid grammatical errors for the sake of clarity.
Please include the following:
The title of the project
A description of the problem you intend to address
How your solution will address this problem
A scenario of a typical end user and how they would use/interact with your
project
A summary of how you project relates to the theme of the Imagine Cup: “Imagine
a world where technology enables a sustainable environment.”
A summary of why an embedded solution is required for your project. For
example, why would a laptop or desktop computer not be able to perform the role
of your embedded device?
A diagram of the components in your solution and how they interact. Please be
clear in identifying the embedded device.
A summary how your team is organized and the way in which the work will be
distributed
A description of the current status of the project: is it just an idea, is
there a prototype, or are you actively working on a specific section?
An outline of the work to be carried out in the next part of the project
A summary of why you believe your team, and your project, should be selected to
move to Round 2.
