Alternatifnya adalah beli Vista Business, lalu cari media XP Pro bajakan. Setelah install XP Pro ini, kemudian call Microsoft untuk downgrade license dan regenerate key untuk Win XP. Memang cara ini rada rada grey area, tapi di support oleh Microsoft. Lucunya, Microsoft sendiri juga memberikan reward (paling tidak di Singapore) untuk orang yang menyerahkan media XP bajakan yg kotaknya bagus (counterfeit).
