Setelah masa evaluasi berakhir, RHEL masih dapat dipergunakan, tanpa ada pengurangan fasilitas apapun. Hanya tidak akan dapat melakukan update lagi, dengan kata lain, support telah diberhentikan. Yang dibayar biaya per tahun tersebut, RHEL dari Red Hat, sebenarnya adalah biaya support dari mereka. Sebagai pengganti, bisa menggunakan CentOS.
