Approval itu bukan formal agreement. Approval itu acknowledgement untuk start/resume process dalam suatu workflow yang sudah disepakati bersama sebelumnya. Wajar saja approval menggunakan email, karena semua pihak yang terlibat sudah setuju akan segala macam action dan outcome dari workflow tersebut. Hanya saja menggunakan email untuk menjalankan workflow akan susah di-audit. Banyak tools lain buat business process management selain email. Jadi email hanya berfungsi sebagai notifier.
