I
am trying toi convert a html page to a pdf using iText Java PDF library.
Everything works fine and a pdf is also produced. But my html page conisists of
blank spaces and the page also uses a pre tag. It comes fine on the browser but
when its converted into pdf, the alignment is lost . I mean the the lines spaces
alone are lesser in width than the line spaces and normal
characters.
If anyone has converted or used pre tags in
iText please reply me. Its very urgent. I am enclosing the generated pdf
also. I have put up a star at the starting and ending of each line. In the html
page all the stars are aligned to the left and right. But in the pdf, the stars
to the right are not aligned. It means that the line widths are different. Why
is it happening so ?? When all the lines have the same number of characters.
This html page is actually constructed from a database. SO each line always have
133 characters . SO this is the problem I am facing. Please get back to me if
incase anybody has faced a similar situation.
