Matt,
As I mentioned, I am interested in setting the width correctly for just one column. And this column might be present OR not (number of columns varies between 2 and 12). Its not that the setWidths(int[]) will not help but it will become cumbersome to use.
As I said at the end in my posting, I just wanted to know a way to set the width of just one specified column in a multi-column table.
