        Are you saying the document Encrypt dictionary has not got a /U
entry? If so, open the file in a text editor, search for object 970,
which is the encrypt dictionary. You can see that /U entry is there as
well as /O entry.

        Even if your claim is correct, if I change the /P to a different
value, Acroread will prompt the password entry. I mean if I change the
number to -60 and then try to open it in Acroread, password prompt will
come up.

        I think there are something else.
