HI , I am Using latest version of itext jar to generate pdf reports within jsp pages. I wanted to display the generated pdf file in browser. So i am setting the content type to application/pdf and acquiring the servlet output stream and writing the content bytes to browser. If the client is installed with Acrobat 4.0 then this pdf is displayed well in browser with our any problem. But on few machines we have Acrobat5.0 installed, From these machines if i run my jsp program to generate reports,It does not display in the browser. It throws me error saying "file does not start with %PDF-" and will not display the pdf file. If the save the file on hard disk and drag the pdf file in to the browser then it opens properly. But i want the pdf should be displayed directly in the browser. If somebody can throw some light in this problem it will be of great help. Thanking you in advance,
