If there was a beta version it would already have been published. The main
problem with form filling and flattening is the generation of the
appearances. Once the appearance is available it's just a matter of placing
it in the page as a form XObject if flattening or in the field dictionary if
filling. My last release has PdfStamper and TextField that takes care of
that but it still misses the actual connections and the FDF parser that is,
basically, a PdfReader without xref table.
