I have a problem with some of the generated pdf files to print through a fiery rip.
What version of the Fiery RIP? Older versions of this RIP have caused no end of grief for folks in the prepress world. Make sure you are current!
The fiery rip only knows pdf1.3.
Though not a complete PDF 1.3 - there are things that it doesn't handle even then :(.
Perhaps adobes acrobat4.0 is just more robust than fierys software. Another possibility is that I just discovered a bug (in the fiery pdf rip).
Most likely both!
Can I set the metadata information about the pdf version?
Fiery would be ignoring that anyway.
