Title: Trouble with pdfs

Dear Sir/Madam,

We are creating PDF files for an application that uses iText to concatenate these individual files into one PDF based on some input parameters. We have found that the only PDFs that this application can process are ones created out of Photoshop.  Unfortunately these PDFs are much larger in filesize than the original ones created in Illustrator.

My questions are

    1.   Are there any other PDFs format such as Illustrator PDFor Acrobat PDF that iText can work with (and are there any particular settings needed when creating these PDFs)?

    2.      If not, why does iText only accept photoshop PDFs and what are the differences between the various PDF formats?

Yours truly,

Jenny Yu
