Hi everybody,

In my previous mail, I was writing that when using both Cell borders and Cell
background colors, the cell borders were not displayed.
I carried out some investigations, and I can now describe more precisely the
problem:

I was using only bottom cell borders. When using top cell borders, then they
are well displayed.
I solved my problem by separating the rows with top borders instead of bottom
ones, but it still seems to me that it should be allowed to use bottom
borders. shouldn't it ?

Kind regards

Jean-Marc Bonnemains

Subject: [iText-questions] Beginners question: PdfPTables and HeaderFooter

Hello All,

I've been making pdf docs with "Phrase" based headers & footers but now =
I want to
make more complex headers & footers, specifically using a PdfPTable =
instead of a
Phrase. Can someone give me a pointer as to how I should do this?

I don't know why it doesn't work. The viewers I have in windows work
correctly, anything that doesn't depend on the windows gdi, like a java
viewer, flips the text and although what's in the file is a 270 degree
rotation it shows as a 90 degree rotation in windows.
Can you send me a wmf with only one rotated word, nothing else?
Wrap it in a zip or I won't get it.

Best Regards,
Paulo Soares

Subject: [iText-questions] Pb with Table, border, and background color

Hi,

When using a table, with no background color, all runs well. The cell =
borders
are displayed as I want them to be.
But as soon as I set a background color in the cells of my Table, the =
borders
disappear, as if they were displayed under the background.
I tried to play with the table.setSpacing() property, but it doesn't =
help.
What can I do ?

I can't use PdfTable, because I don't produce only PDF, and I have =
written
specific Writers.

Thank you for your help

You can download the source, compile it with 1.3 and jar it.
With the build.xml and ANT, it's very easy to do.

Subject: [iText-questions] Writing to a PdfTemplate with an arbitrary Font

Hi. I'm trying to write absolutely positioned text on a PdfTemplate. I
already have a com.lowagie.text.Font object stashed away that contains
all the font info that I need. To write my text on a PdfTemplate, I
need a BaseFont, so I call myFont.getBaseFont(). Sometimes this returns
null, though
(http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.java.lib.itext.general/3788/match=3D=
n
ull+basefont) and I'm having trouble figuring out how to supply all the
information from my font to the PdfTemplate to get the correct rendering
style. In general, is it possible to extract all necessary information
from a Font object (family, style, color, size) in order to write to a
PdfTemplate? I can get the color and size, but I'm having trouble
figuring out how to get the family and style (italic, bold, etc.).

Thanks,
Chris
