It seems that flattening a PDF form with the CVS version of iText
(post 1.00 release) causes the values of fields to be spread semi-
randomly across multiple pages.

If I don't flatten the form it is obious that the values are properly
assigned to the fields and that the fields themselves are not moved by
the operation to regenerate the PDF and write it to disk.

While I could protect an unflattened PDF form, many (older) viewers
cannot handle the encryption (e.g. Acrobat 4.0 and xpdf fail).

Do you have any suggestions for a work-around or even a fix that keeps
the flatting operation from scattering the field values?

One extra question: what do you mean with post 1.00 release?
One of Paulo's versions? If so which one? 123, 124, 125 or 126?
Or are you referring to iText1.01?
