I am using iText to generate large reports (thousands of pages) in PDF and was surprised to learn that the initial implementation using the class Table instead of PdfPTable is performing better. Could anyone explain this behavior? According to online documentation "if you only have to generate PDF (no XML, HTML, RTF,...), it is better to use the class PdfPTable instead of class Table"; however I am not sure what is meant by "better" in this context?
