Even then, the code is very Platform Dependent.
If you want to send a PDF file directly to a client printer, you would have to depend
on bugs in the client browser (I think some of those bugs are mentioned in the mailing
list archives). Because of security reasons, it should not be possible to start printing
on a client printer without manual interaction from the client/user. If you want a dialog
box to open for printing on the clientside, please check the tutorial.
What exactly do you want to achieve? Printing on the serverside or clientside?
If serverside, what OS are you using?
