Hello, I read your article, Dynamically Creating PDFs in a Web Application, on O'Reilly's OnJava.com. I am working on a solution similar to the one you specified at the end of the article in the Beyond iText section. Our users will upload a Word doc containing MS Word fields. When these documents are requested, the app plugs values from a DB into the fields, converts it to PDF and returns it to the user. Thus far, I have been considering using jFO, a third-party product. It seems to do what I would like and costs ~$150. However, iText is free and we already have licenses for Adobe Acrobat. My questions to you after reading the article are: 1) How did you specify the dynamic (i.e. plug-in-able) fields in Word? 2) How did you convert Word to PDF programmatically? Thanks.
