In the resulting file nothing was displayed where those russiona characters should have been displayed. I tried with different fonts, still didn't work. However, displaying some greek characters instead worked. Any help would greatly appreciated!
A lot of fonts have many of the characters missing, as they are targeted at a specific locale - run a font picker and see if the characters in the map you want are actually there for comic.ttf.
