You'll need something else to get the text. To add bokmarks see
SimpleBookmark and PdfPStamper.

Subject: [iText-questions] Finding pages in an existing PDF document

I need to add bookmarks to a PDF document that is being generated using
another package that doesn't currently support bookmarks (It uses XSL-FO
under the covers). Each page I want to bookmark has some unique text on
it (though not right at the top). How would I:

1) Find the text in the document?

2) Create a bookmark to the beginning of the page containing the text?

Thanks, gerard
