It should be similar if not the same for OSX and Linux. You will need to be failure with command line syntax for each system. It will also depend on which printing service each one is running(CUPS, LPRng, LPD, etc.) You should be able to get the details for the lp and lpr commands from the respective man pages for each OS.



You should be able to find details for setting up printers, and the syntax for using them at :

Example :
