I have 2 pdf files:
- certified.pdf (which has been certified using adobe professional)
- itext_signed.pdf (which has been signed using your itext)
Right.
Both are actually signed, BUT they are signed in different ways - which is why Acrobat (Reader) treats them differently when they are opened.
A Certified document is checked for validity on opening, and also has the ability to grant digital rights w/o the need for encryption.
A Signed document is only checked when asked and has no provision for DRM.
It should be easy to take the existing signing code in iText and use it to create a certified document.
