There are people that want jar files with the version
number in the filename and there are people who want
to be able to replace an old jar with a new one without
having to change the CLASSPATH.

I'm with the second group, but I also provide a jar
with a version number in the filename (the content
is the same, it's copied from iText.jar).

I can try to make it more clear on the site.
