Quoting Steve Appling <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:

I have read your explanation and it makes sense.

It's a pity people will have to change some of their code
if they want to upgrade from 1.02b to 1.1, but that's a
price one often has to pay when upgrading to a higher
version of a product (any product). We have tried to avoid
this as much as possible with iText in the past, but if
it's necessary and if people's code gets less complicated
after the change, we should go through with it.

If somebody should ask to restore the Table object and
work with a Table2 object, I wouldn't do this: it would
make the code more complex and less maintainable. With
RtfWriter and RtfWriter2, the old and the new code is
completely separated. That's excellent, but it can't be
done with an object such as Table.

Steve, could you shape your mail in a Q&A form?
I would like to add it to the FAQ.

br,
Bruno
