[iText-questions] ColumnText with irregular columns

I'm using a ColumnText with irregular column shapes. If I try to add 
paragraphs to it, I get an exception telling me that I can't use 
irregular column shapes in "composite" mode. I gather that this means 
that I need to add text to the ColumnText using Phrases. Right so far?

So, now I'd like to use fixed + variable leading, or least give 
different leading to different Phrases that I add to the ColumnText. It 
appears that whatever I've tried, the leading is constant for the 
entire ColumnText. Have I missed something?
