I ran into a problem recently in which pdf reports generated by iText worked perfectly in our test environment, but were missing table borders and header backgrounds in the production environment.
We found that the problem is not consistent, and does occasionally work. We restarted Tomcat this morning, after noticing the formatting was gone again, and the pdf reports generated correctly.
I think the formatting starts correctly, and dies out later in the day. The reason being I sat in on a training session, and the instructor's
machine had no formatting, but one of the training machines did. It's not an issue with the machine itself, because I can generate a report correctly on the test environment, and using the same machine, get an incorrect report on production. It seems like a
memory issue, but I'm not sure why. Anyone have any ideas?
