Can you point me toward an iText class or (cross fingers) an example of how I could do a full embed with an existing document?

Maybe I'm not awake yet and I'm missing something obvious. Is there a code example that loads an arbitrary TTF font from the system, embeds it, and writes "hello, world!" (or whatever the typesetting phrase is) and in it? Assuming an open PdfWriter etc....
I looked at Font and BaseFont, FontMapper, etc., but didn't see anything obvious.
