[iText-questions] digital signatures in iText

My project uses iText to create PDF forms for our application.  We are 
about to be called upon to implement digital signatures into the forms.  
If we use iText to do this, will it be possible for external 
applications to read the digital signatures?  IOW, do they follow the 
standards that are out there for this stuff?
