You just have to make sure that the Font has a font name. Whether you create this Font via the FontFactory or directly by instancing Font doesn't matter. All that is important is that the Font has a name, then everything will work.
Concerning your problem with the HTMLWorker, please post the problem to the list again, with a subject referencing the HTMLWorker.
