Title: [iText-questions] stopping the embedding of non-native fonts
Fonts with the encoding Identity-H are always embedded. The other encodings may or may not be embedded but be warned that if the font is not embedded the viewer will replace them with anything that may not be what you expect.

Subject: [iText-questions] stopping the embedding of non-native fonts

Hi,
I need to use arial fonts in the pdfs I'm creating but don't want them
embedded. I know very little about how fonts work - is this possible?
I have put the BaseFont.NOT_EMBEDDED flag in my font creation methods
but the fonts get embedded anyway...
Cheers
Antoine
