Hi,

I have taken a look at the archives that you pointed me to - thanks this
will help me if I can go the AcroForm route.

"What do you mean by template?"
I have an existing PDF file which I converted from an HTML page (a blank
invoice with an address
area, columns for debits, credits, etc). It is not an AcroForm.

I have read the following in your old tutorial:
If you have an existing PDF file that represents a form, you could copy the
pages of this form and paint text at precise locations on this form.

Is this recommended?

This is an option.
A colleague at Ghent University uses this functionality
to print certificates for students. She has measured all
the distances on the original file and she add content
with PdfStamper. If multiple pages are necessary,
you will have to combine with PdfCopy.
