As Bruno mentioned, there seems to be some problem with the TTF files under OS/X.
TrueType if I'm not wrong was initially an Apple standard, and the TTF files under Mac as very much different from the TTF files supported by Adobe [ which I think is given a different name of TrueType32 or something like that]. Maybe you should just try getting an AFM file. I'll reply soon on where to get the AFM download for Corvisa [ Mac OS/X specific, if there are problems again ].

Try using registerDirectory() so that iText will register all the fonts present in the directory specified. That will also enable you to build the font lister app. One of the examples in the tutorial shows how to list the fonts registered with iText. You may have to add UI logic to it.
