I bet it will work with FileOutputStream in your code. As usually this is a browser/server problem. I've no idea how to fix it as it depends mostly on the running environment, instalation issues, etc.

In the web-application, I have a hyperlink which links to a page that generates the PDF. I have two options to save the PDF to the disk:

1. Right-click on this link and say "Save Target As"

2. Open the PDF document using the browser and then click on the Save Copy button in the browser window

On opening the documents saved using any of the two methods above, I get a message saying "Rebuild"

Kiran

How do you save it to disk?

Hi,

I am creating a PDF Document using com.lowagie.text.pdf.* APIs for a Web Application. The PDF gets generated successfully and get displayed on the browser using Acrobat Reader as well.

However, whenever I save the PDF to disk and then try opening it directly in Acrobat Reader 6.0, it always first rebuilds the PDF and then opens it. The result is that I always get a message saying "Rebuild" whenever I try opening these PDF documents.

Can you help me get rid of this message?

Thanks,
Kiran
