Sorry but it is in a blob column.

The interesting thing is now it is magically working again.

Probably saving it in a database text field instead of binary.

Subject: [iText-questions] PdfLiteral ClassCastException

I have a PDF document with form fields. If I open the document and use a
stamper to re-write the file to and from my local file system it seems
to work fine (stamper.setFormFlattening(true);). But if I put the form
in a database and pull it out and do the same I get a ClassCastException
reference:

java.lang.ClassCastException: com.lowagie.text.pdf.PdfLiteral
at com.lowagie.text.pdf.PdfStamperImp.flatFields()V(Unknown
Source)
at
com.lowagie.text.pdf.PdfStamperImp.close(Ljava/util/HashMap;)V(Unknown
Source)
at com.lowagie.text.pdf.PdfStamper.close()V(Unknown Source)

Any ideas or suggestions on what might be causing this problem?
