That's one possible reason.
Another possibility is that the jar is compiled with the JDK1.4 (I use 1.4),
and that WebSphere expects the classes that are compiled with JDK1.3.

of your choice. (I hear that some classes in the com.lowagie.tools package
don't compile. I still have to look into this problem. You can solve it
by simply
removing everything under com.lowagie.tools.)
