I'm looking for a way of like-printing an MS Office (Word,Excel, PowerPoint docs) as PDF. Actually what I need is to develop a routine that will take as an input parameter an MS Office file and will output a PDf representation of it or a byte stream that can be saved as PDF.
Well, the BEST way to do this is to run Office on Windows and then force ti to print. That will give you the highest fidelity output.
Second best is to use OpenOffice and it's Java API. Check out http://jooreports.sourceforge.net/ as a project that does just this.
Last would be to cobble together a variety of other tools and parts to make it happen.
