Sometimes this helps:
pdfStamper = new PdfStamper(pdfReader, pdfByteArrayOutputStream);
pdfStamper.setFullCompression();
but it depends on the original PDF.
The 'fully compressed' PDF file isn't always smaller in size than the
original one
(it would take me too long to explain why; as a rule of thumb setting
full compression
is a good idea for PDFs with lots of pages).
