But what i need is not to get the image (or a copy) but to bind to this image : add the digital signature to the PDF and link the digital signature to an existing image. Any idea ? That's not possible with the current iText API. Yes, it's possible. See Image.getInstance(PRIndirectReference ref). I'm not sure if it made it into 1.4.1 or if it's only in the CVS.
