But I'm using the PdfStamper Class to add an empty a blank signature field. In addition with the PdfStamper Class it is also possible to set encryption. So maybe it is also possible to add permissions to the document in order to let it sign by Acrobat Reader. In the help of Acrobat Reader 7 is written: "You can use Acrobat Reader to sign a PDF document only it the document includes additional usage rights and an Acrobat digital signature field." Is it possible to set this rights by iText? Regards Paul

Reader is just that - a READER. It doesn't support digitally signing PDFs. >Is there something special that I have to do or set a parameter in >order to can sign the document in Acrobat Reader? Invest in Adobe's LiveCycle Reader Extensions Server, which is a product that adds "special sauce" to a PDF that makes it more functional with used in Reader.
