Hi,

We are using IText data merging with existing Acrobat PDF form fields in our company.

We are using itext-1.2.jar library.

When I am setting default values in Acrobat Professional to multiline textfields, they are getting displayed with additional top margin. And when executing the IText form fields merge code, the data displayed for the multiline fields does not have any additional top margin. This is resulting in overlapping data.

To fix this, we will have to get the multiline textfields in all the PDF documents re-positioned by our client which is an overhead in many ways.

In the AcroFields class, I see the setExtraMargin() method but this will set extra margins for all the form fields.

Is there a way using above specified library to add extra margins to only multiline textfields?

Thanks.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Saeed Subedar.
