I found the fonts that the program was using and not embedding. (Thank you Paulo). I removed them. Ghostscript was upgraded to 8.54. Now I get a better error message from pdf2ps:
"**** Warning: An error occurred while reading an XREF table. **** The file has been damaged. This may have been caused **** by a problem while converting or transfering the file. **** Ghostscript will attempt to recover the data. GPL Ghostscript 8.54: Failed to interpret TT instructions in font 80000002. Continue ignoring instructions of the font." Can anyone offer any information to the source of this problem? In this document, I am embedding Verdana.ttf, Verdanab.ttf and Wingdings.ttf. In the PDF, iText is used to create simple (PdfPTables) tables. Wingdings is used to create check box symbols. Do fonts need to be upgraded? Is the ttf format cross platform? Can anyone recommend a site that might have free fonts?
