(1) Are you sure the field is a multiline field?
Because iText tries to wrap lines when adding text to a multiline field.
(2) Maybe you can use setExtraMargin() to change the offset.
I don't think there is a method to change the margin of selected fields
though: if you set extra margins, it applies to all fields.
