Thank you Paulo and Bruno! Paulo, I read about that fix you mentioned here and I agree with you. IMHO here we have a more complex problem we expect.
In your example and the thread spoken here about before the fix was done, always a preformatted value was given into the setField() method. In my case none of the values is preformatted. Shouldn't here be distinguished between the unformatted and the formatted value? What I mean is, if I give an unformatted value into the method it should be truncated if it's to long before formatting and inserting. In the other case - a preformatted value - the format should be removed first and then processed in the same way as the unformatted. Currently I can help we in a way similar to that, Bruno suggested.
