Of course not. The book was written BEFORE Acrobat 8 and the PDF Reference 1.7 was out. You won't see that option in the Advanced tab of Adobe Reader 1.6 or earlier. Edition 1.0 of the PDF Reference 1.7 was released in October 2006. We are fast, but not that fast! This being said: I've looked at the PDF Reference, and it should be easy to implement.
