As for changing the width and height of AcroFields:
in most cases it's nonsense to ask such a thing.
You didn't find any answer because there is no tool
that is able to do this. PDF is a PDL, meaning it's
a Page Description Language. In other words: as
opposed to Word ALL LAYOUT IS FIXED. You don't change
the size of a field unpunished.

Your question may very well be unanswerable.
