You can do that, but it doesn't magically make a DOC document out of an RTF 
document.

DOC is the default Microsoft Word binary document format, RTF is a Microsoft 
Text Based format. iText can generate RTF but not DOC. Word opens RTF files, 
but there are certain limitations on what can be done, which I referenced in 
the last mail.
