Hello,
I have a bunch of image-based PDF files containing both text and
illustrations. I want to convert these image-based PDF to 'Enhanced' PDF
documents which will maintain the illustrations in the correct location but
enable the Copying and Finding of specific text in the resulting PDF
document, add bookmark tab and hyperlinks to the content (to be read from
xml files) and page tab, etc. I have all the words and their location
coordinates in the image-based PDF document in a flat text file. Now what I
am attempting to do is to read each word and its coordinate from the text
file and place that particular word in the image-based PDF document at the
location specified by the coordinates of that word.

I have being going thru the iText tuturial especially the section on 'Part
IV: Direct Content' and it is helpful. However, can I use the iText API to
manipulate an Imaged-Based PDF to produce an 'Enhanced' PDF in this way? If
so what would be the best approach ?

David
