Hi,

I´ve just started a project were digital signature of PDF documents is required
and I wonder how iText might help me with its implementation.

Signature process would involve the following steps:

(1) Convert MS Office documents (Word, Excel, etc.) into PDF documents.
(2) Merge those documents into a single PDF document.
(3) Assign signature permissions to the document (I guess it means also add
placeholders for the signatures)
(4) Sign of the PDF document
(5) Validation of the PDF integraty and digital signature
(6) Extract X509 certificate which the document was sign with in order to
validate it.

After reading documentation I´ve realized points 2-6 can be implemented with
iText, but I´d appreciatted anyone comments or suggestions, specially about
steps 2 and 3.
