Yes, I'm sure! I'm usign iText 2.0.4 and this
http://itext.ugent.be/library/com/lowagie/examples/objects/images/tiff/Tiff2Pdf.java
is the program that I'm usign to convert my tiff to pdf.
Maybe I've found the problem...
The method
comps = TiffImage.getNumberOfPages(ra) ;
still return me 0 when I try to convert a 1-page tiff (return 7 with 
8-pages tiff) so I've the same error.
Today I've solved in this way:
comps = TiffImage.getNumberOfPages(ra) + 1;
Now the program works fine when I try to convert tiffs!
