The books says: "Java works in standard Red-Green-Blue (sRGB) as the default color space internally, so colors need to be translated." and indeed when I ask for java.awt.Color.blue I do not get the Java hue but a much darker one. Does that mean that the caller is expected to perform the translation? I was hoping the Graphics2D object would do it automatically.
So, what should one do to get the same color? That is not clear.
