Do you know the Simpsons episode where Homer and Apu go to India to see
the owner of the Kwik-e-Mart? Visitors are allowed to ask three
questions (and only three questions). Apu wants to ask his job back, but
before he can ask anything, Homer asks:

- Are you the great Kwik-e-Mart master?
- Yes
- Really?
- Yes
- Really?
- Yes. Now you must leave and never come back

For the last time (because I want to outclass the Kwik-e-Mart master):

EMBEDDING means the file is attached to the document and YOU STILL NEED
Word or Excel to SEE it. CONVERTING means the documents are NO LONGER
Word or Excel files, but the content is visible in Adobe Reader.

iText can EMBED word and excel files in a PDF, but it can't CONVERT word
and excel files to PDF.

If you don't understand these answers, I give up, and I strongly suggest
that you ask somebody else.
br,
Bruno
