At the top of page 578, Bruno writes "Another possibility.....the content stream consists of raw glyph indexes; the nth character of this (embedded) font. You then.....go through the character mapping and.....find the right letter."
I'm trying to read a PDF with six embedded fonts whereby the content uses this technique of encoding. Most of the raw text characters are in the hex range of 01-40. I'm totally lost as to how to build the array of glyphs. I don't fully understand the embedded font object(s) and what API object(s) I should use. I know that one of the embedded fonts used does not have a ToUnicode name. Can anyone post a code segment to get me started?
